Chain Reaction is a publication by artist and Wellcome Trust Fellow Alex Julyan, exploring the positive and negative impact of building design and architecture on our health.
I designed the book layout using a simple 6-column grid, and devised a warm colour scheme and playful illustrative style to break up the text-heavy nature of the content. The bespoke illustrations referenced the subject matter of each chapter and subverted or toyed with it in some way.
